From Roman Ruins To Medieval Legends

Are you ready for the biggest attraction in the Celje basin?

We will visit the castle Knežji dvorec, which served as the residence of Counts of Celje in the 14th and 15th centuries. As an interesting place, the city of Celje existed in Roman times, and under the very building of Knežji dvorec there is the famous ancient city of Celeia, a city below the city. We will take a walk through the archaeological site of this ancient Roman city, and in the castle we will admire various exhibitions. From the exhibition of Counts of Celje, to the calligraphic exhibition, where we will also test ourselves in calligraphy. Then we will move towards the next historic point, to the castle Stari Grad Celje, which is considered the oldest Slovene medieval castle. In addition to visiting the Friderik tower and the Barbara’s Corner, we will experience knighting and arch shooting. For the very end, from the panoramic point of view we will meet the city of Celje.
