Duration: 5 km (starting point Mt Vogel upper station) Difficulty: light DAY 9: HIKING TRIP TO MOSTNICA GORGE AND CHEESE TASTING AT ONE OF THE LOCAL FARMS From Bohinj we will walk the road up to a mountain cottage located in the picturesque Alpine valley Voje. Here you have a fantastic view of the forested slopes. The hike goes up through the breath taking Mostnica gorge, which is a roughly 2-kilometre- long gorge that the clear Mostnica forests have carved out of the rock. In some places the gap is very narrow, and the rock walls are up to 20 meters high. Before returning to the hotel in afternoon, stop at one of the local farms to taste some of the home- made products, such as cheese and home-made bread. Duration: 5 km (starting point Stara Fužina) Difficulty: light DAY 10: DRIVE FROM BOHINJ TO BLED Take the short drive from Bohinj to Bled, another Alpine pearl in the heart of Julian Alps. Bled, also called an image of paradise, is a small town with a lake and an island with a church in the middle. According to the legend the bell, if rang three times, can fulfil your wishes. DAY 11: BEE CYCLING TOUR Beekeeping still is an important tradition in Slovenia and especially of Alpine region. Not only honey, there are various other products made, such as candles, pastries and many more. Meet with your guide in the morning and cycle along the Sava river while learning about the culture and traditions of the area. Return to hotel for overnight. Duration: 30 km Difficulty: light DAY 12: WALKING TOUR TO OJSTRICA AND AROUND THE BLED LAKE For your final day walk up to Ojstrica hill above the lake. This is one of the most stunning and most photographed viewpoints as it truly offers exceptional views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. In the afternoon take a stroll around the lake for a final goodbye to this paradise. Duration: 10 km Difficulty: light DAY 13: DRIVE TO LJUBLJANA AIRPORT, DROP OF THE RENTAL CAR AND RETURN FLIGHT It is time to say goodbye to Slovenia and its amazing nature. Drive to the Ljubljana Airport for your return flight home.
